As time went by and demands for new services increased constantly, the company adapted itself to meet the needs of its customers by setting up dedicated shuttles and transport on demand.
In 1969, in order to comply with the new regulations in the field of transport, Mr Verdière obtained a licence and started up Les Transports Verdière.
His son Jean-Louis Verdière joined him in 1973. They bought their first HGV to satisfy their customers’ needs and enlarge their range of vehicles.
In 1982, Les Transports Verdière became a Limited Company under the name of SAMUTRANS (Société d’Approvisionnement en Matériel Urgent: Supply Company for Urgent Equipment ), whose main activity is based on express transport for the industry, and whose aim is to rise to your challenges and accompany you throughout your development.
Since then, Samutrans has been developing and expanding as much in size as in the range of services we offer, always in the aim to serve you as best as possible. Because of the increasingly specific nature of your needs, the economic and technical challenges of the tasks we are called upon to perform have firmly established “express transport” as an essential partner in your development.
That is why I have joined the company today, to continue a beautiful family tradition, but also to play a part in the development of a long-lasting company which has already acquired the confidence of all the economic, industrial, and port operators.
In the hope of meeting you one day
Antoine Verdière
